💾 Local Device Storage
Your candidate profile, study streaks, exam scores, bookmarks, and mistake history are stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage on your own device.
👁️ No Third-Party Analytics
No advertising trackers, session recorders, or third-party marketing SDKs are loaded. The reviewer is designed to operate seamlessly offline.
1. Google OAuth & User Authentication Data
When you choose to sign in using Google Sign-In or email registration:
- Information Collected: We access only basic profile information provided by Google OAuth: your email address, display name, and avatar URL.
- Purpose: This data is solely used to identify your user profile, verify activation codes for Pro reviewer features, and sync diagnostic test history.
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do NOT sell, rent, disclose, or transfer your personal data or Google account information to any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
- Google API Compliance: CSE Companion adheres strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. Data Portability & Full User Autonomy
Under RA 10173, examinees retain full sovereignty over their records:
- Export Backup: You may download your complete study records, custom questions, and bookmarks as a JSON file at any time via Settings.
- Restore: You can load your study data onto another device without relying on any proprietary centralized lock-in.
- Right to Erasure: You can purge all records permanently in one click via the "Reset Study Progress" tool in Settings, or request full account deletion.
3. Browser Cache & Device Cleanup
Because your review data is saved on your device, clearing your browser website cache will erase unbacked-up progress. Examinees are encouraged to periodically use the "Backup Progress" button in Settings to preserve your study records.
